Seat’s sparkling Leon hatchback grabbed the top honour at the 2013 Auto Express New Car Awards.
As well as taking the overall top honour, the Leon claimed the class crown for Best Compact Family Car, while its bigger sibling, the Alhambra, grabbed the Best MPV award for the third successive year.
Auto Express editor-in-chief, Steve Fowler, commented: “The new Leon is a brilliant all-rounder offering space, quality, economy and plenty of style. You’ve only got to look at the cars that the Leon beat to see just how good it is.”
Ford won four awards including Best Supermini for the Fiesta and Best Hot Hatch for the high performance Fiesta ST. The Transit also claimed the first Van Of The Year award handed out by Auto Express.
