Pirelli’s staple van product is the Carrier, which is available in three versions: one for summer, one for winter and an all-season tyre.
Previously, this level of customisation was the preserve of performance tyres, yet now van drivers can enjoy the same control – without compromising on the traditional priorities for commercial vehicles: efficiency and tyre life.
The Carrier All Season is a tyre that works equally well throughout the year, with selected sizes benefiting from Pirelli’s ‘Seal Inside’ technology. An innovative safety system against punctures which automatically seals up the hole in the event of a puncture caused by an object up to 4mm in diameter, meaning that journeys can continue without loss of tyre pressure. The tyre also carries the snowflake symbol on the sidewall signifying it’s suitable for winter use in markets where legislation requires drivers to change to winter-specific rubber.
There is also the Carrier Winter, which is ideal for the cold, wet months as the tread pattern provides optimum grip, and therefore safety in tougher condition. It also offers a remarkable 30% increase in mileage compared to its predecessor.
The Carrier Summer tyre is designed for the months when temperatures are above seven degrees centigrade.
The Carrier family of tyres are available in a variety of sizes covering 14, 15, 16 and 17-inch fitments and are expected to deliver an extended tyre life in comparison to its predessor.
