Tyre & Service Superstore (Square Fit) with outlets in Tallaght, Ballymount and Finglas, have been named the winner of the Semperit Tyre Retailer of the Year competition 2012. From a field of some 25 tyre retailers nationwide, Tyre & Service Superstore was selected as the best performing across a number of criteria.
Commenting on the win, Paddy Murphy of Semperit Ireland said: “I am delighted for Kevin Farrell and his team in Tyre & Service Superstore. This is our third year to run this nation-wide competition which we set up to highlight and reward excellent service in the tyre retail sector in Ireland . Our judges, saw a marked improvement across the board with all participants and there was very little separating the shortlisted finalists”.
The award is mainly judged on how each participant demonstrates excellence in customer service, a key cornerstone of business. Semperit Ireland put in place a high level, independent panel of judges who assessed the levels of customer service of each participant in the awards programme. Those judges were RTE broadcaster and experienced motorist, Ronan Collins; Automotive training expert, Mark Richardson; and managing editor of the Tyre Trade Journal and experienced motoring journalist, Padraic Deane. Each participant underwent stringent customer service testing through video-recorded mystery shop visits and recorded telephone audits.
In addition, the judges assessed pro-active marketing activity including the user-friendliness of the retailer’s website. The assessments included analysis of the retailer’s handling of customer requests, including range of products / services offered, value for money, courtesy and professionalism of staff and the quality / cleanliness of the facilities available to customers.
Managing Director of Tyre & Service Superstore, Kevin Farrell, said: “We are thrilled to have won the Semperit Tyre Retailer award. It really is a great tribute to the dedication of our whole team and our focus on constantly improving customer service”.
As winner of the award, Tyre & Service Superstore has received a prize fund that includes a local radio and press advertising campaign and, not least, a well deserved celebration night out for the staff of the company.
Square Fit has been in business for 21 years and in the last 18 months, the company rebranded itself as Tyre and Service Superstore.
