More OE fitment wins for Goodyear

Renault is the latest manufacturer to choose Goodyear as original equipment. The French manufacturer is fitting 195/55R20 95H XL Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance and 195/55R20 95H XL Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-2 tyres to the new Scenic. The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance Tall and Narrow tyre was previewed on the new Scenic on Renault’s stand at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

Ultra-low rolling resistance is a major consideration for vehicle manufacturers and assists them to meet CO2 emission targets. Tyres play a big role in providing the innovative technology needed to keep rolling resistance at levels lower than ever before, and the Tall and Narrow concept provides the technology needed to do this.

The word Narrow in the tyre’s name refers to the narrow section of the tyre, giving a long and narrow contact patch. This improves aerodynamics; reducing fuel consumption, lowering noise and giving better resistance to aquaplaning.
