Hankook wins Which? Best Buy

Hankook tyres have been awarded the ‘Best Buy’ status by Which?, an independent, not-for-profit product and review site. Hankook’s Kinergy Eco tyre sought the ‘Best Buy’ accolade in both tyre size categories, fending off each 15 other competitor products.

Which? tested regular market purchased tyres in two popular sizes for small cars (14 inches) and medium/compact cars (15 inches). They measured stopping ability and traction in the wet and dry, and assessed grip to the road and resistance to aquaplaning. Tyre wear and noise levels were also taken into account. Which? said the Kinergy Eco (14 inch) came “top of the class in wet conditions proving it is safe and predictable, with impressive traction and braking grip. It was equally impressive in the dry and was the quietest 14-inch tyre on test overall.” In the 15 inch size the Hankook pattern also proved its capabilities by securing the overall highest score of the whole test field.

Tony Lee, Managing Director of Hankook Tyre UK added “Which? are widely recognised for their ability to help consumers make informed buying decisions. The tyres were rigorously tested and analysed to evidence the Kinergy Eco’s ability to deliver outstanding performance and provide motorists with peace of mind when it comes to important safety related disciplines.”

The Kinergy Eco was designed to offer a good overall performance with excellent fuel consumption and mileage compared to the competition. This can be further demonstrated by its original fitment to many of the leading car manufacturers including various models from the Volkswagen Group, like the Golf, caddy, Polo and Up!, the Skoda Fabia, Hyundai-i30 and i40, Kia Cee’d and Soul and much more.
