Continental has received a whole raft of approvals from Audi, where its ContiSportContact 5 series has ben approved for the Audi A3 as well as for the automaker’s flagship model, the A8.
On top of this, Audi will in future be equipping its A6, A6 Allroad, A7 and RS 6 Quattro models with the ContiSportContact 5 P. In all, five tyre sizes have been released for 19 to 21inch rims. Audi will be fitting the Continental models ex-works, and the tyres with the special “AO” (Audi Original Parts) mark can in future be ordered from Audi dealerships and via specialist tyre trade outlets. Tyresfor Audi’s RS models are marked “R01”.
Audi also approved the ContiSportContact 5 P in sizes 255/40 R 19, 235/35 R 19 and 285/30 R 21 for the A6, A7 and Audi Quattro RS6. The ContiSportContact 5 is now an approved first-fit tyre in sizes 255/45 R 19 and 255/40 R 20 for the Audi A8 and the Audi A6 Allroad. Both tyres are specially designed for use on dynamic and powerful cars.
