Mum's the Word

Toyota has emerged as being the number one car brand that most Irish mums would choose, according to figures released by eumom.ie, Ireland's online parenting and pregnancy community for mums with children under five.

The national survey of 2,528 Irish mothers found that Toyota is the car brand most considered and most trusted by Irish mums.

Almost 40% of those surveyed chose Toyota over its competitors when asked which car brand they would consider when buying their next car.

The report found that, in general, the three key factors of importance when it comes to Irish mums choosing a car are: affordability, safety and dependability.

Of the majority of mums who chose Toyota as their preferred car brand over others, reliability was the leading determining factor in their choice at 68%, followed by safety at 62%, size at 56% and price at 47%.

David Shannon, Managing Director, Toyota Ireland, said: "Toyota has been building its reputation as a firm Irish family favourite since it launched in Ireland more than 40 years ago. We're delighted to see that the brand is still held in the same high esteem with Irish mums as it has throughout the decades."
