The ContiSportContact 5 has topped a summer tyre test carried out by one of Europe’s leading motorisng organisations.
ADAC has published the results of its summer tyre test conducted together with Stiftung Warentest, the Austrian ÖAMTC and the Swiss TCS.
Out of the 19 tested products, the ContiSportContact 5 took first place, together with a competitor, in the 225/45 R 17 range, which is currently used not only in sports cars but also in compact and medium-class cars.
The test editors certified the “excellent balance with top marks for humidity as well as good properties on dry roads and low fuel consumption” displayed by the tires developed in Hanover. Stiftung Warentest recommends ContiSportContact 5 as “one of the best tires” and TCS further described it as “good for all safety-relevant disciplines”. A Skoda Octavia was the test vehicle.
In the small car range 185/60 R 15, ContiPremiumContact 5 bagged second place. It was confirmed that it has “excellent balance, optimum properties for wet and dry roads as well as low wear and tear”. Moreover, TCS added that ContiPremiumContact 5 is also “good for all disciplines”. Here, the test vehicle was a VW Polo.
