Dunlop OE on Mercedes-AMG C63

The new Mercedes AMG C63 and C63 T models are getting the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT tyre as original equipment.

The original equipment fitting of Dunlop's Ultra High Performance tyres on the Mercedes-AMG comes after extensive joint development work with Dunlop and the tyres have been specially adapted to meet the new car's high-performance needs. This includes race track testing on one of the most challenging tracks in the world, the N?rburgring-Nordschleife.
 
The main features of the Dunlop Sport Maxx RT include an exceptional dry grip, excellent wet grip, precise and stable handling even at high cornering speeds and a strong braking performance, delivering the 476 HP Mercedes -AMG C63 to the road in a safe and sporty manner.  For the optimal balance between front and rear axles Dunlop uses a specially tuned construction for the tyres, derived from motorsport components to ensure a strong grip.
 
"In order to achieve the high dry handling requirements, a mixture is used with a high proportion of different fillers, resins and special polymers, delivering the strong dry grip" Percy Lemaire, Director Tyre Technology explained at Goodyear Dunlop. The Dunlop Sport Maxx RT is made for the front axle in a size 245/35 ZR19 (93Y) XL, for the rear 265/35 ZR19 in (98Y) XL.

In addition to the recent fitment Dunlop has already developed specifically designed tyres for Mercedes AMG models including the A 45 AMG, the CLA 45 AMG and the G 63 AMG. Dunlop is also partner of AMG Customer Sports and since the start of the 2014 season, the official tyre partner of the AMG Driving Academy.
