Dates for Road Safety Week confirmed

The Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) has confirmed that Road Safety Week takes places October 6-12 on an all island basis.

“We have received a significant boost for our 2014 road safety week campaign following a meeting with the Assistant Commissioner, Garda John Twomey,” President Kevin farrell commented.

He added: “He has pledged Garda support to work closely with the Association on safety issues, including National Road Safety Week. This is a huge help for tyre safety and will give us much greater impact for our retailer driven campaign.”

He continued: “We have also met with the NTDA NI and will run the week on the same dates, to have a single message on an all island Road Safety Week, which will run from the 6th -12th October this year.”
