Continental Tyre has received a “very positive” rating in a survey conducted by TNS Infratest on behalf of German automobile club ADAC .
In terms of both brand awareness and brand preference (“I’d choose this brand”) Continental finished in first place. In response to questions about the brand image, the random sample surveyed, almost two-thirds of whom were male, voted Continental into top place with regard to the criteria “good test results” and “good price/performance ratio”.
Continental was also ranked second in respect of the image factors “best quality” and “eco-friendly tyres”. And in terms of product image too, Continental led the field with top marks for both summer and winter tyres.
The survey confirmed once again that specialist tyredealers (over 42 percent), authorized car dealerships (almost 20 percent) and independent workshops (almost 13 percent) constitute by far the most important sales channels for replacement tyres, together accounting for around 75 per cent of the German market. Online sales by tyre dealers made up almost 9 percent. While ADAC members normally buy their summer tyres from specialist tyre dealers, car dealerships are the most common source of their winter tyres.
